Why We Built Fox & Kit

Fox & Kit is a living showhouse. Most people experience modern architecture through photos or brief tours. Here, you cook in it, sleep in it, watch how light moves through it from sunrise to sunset. Gather around the fire pits. Get lost in conversation under the stars. Wake with the red rocks glowing outside your window. Spend days noticing what works and what you'd want in your own home. This is architecture as experience, tested over a full weekend or longer.

We chose Sedona for its position in Arizona's high desert, surrounded by the Coconino National Forest. Red sandstone formations glow pink at sunrise and sunset. The landscape is an outdoor adventure playground with hiking, biking, and trails winding through dramatic red rock terrain. The elevation creates cooler temperatures than Phoenix and a mild four-season climate.

Our hillside flows down into Oak Creek Canyon to the west, where national forest catches the sunset and cottonwoods shift with the seasons. To the east, Twin Buttes rise as your constant companion, glowing with first light each morning.

Fox & Kit exists because skilled people and trusted companies chose to be part of it. Some we'd worked with for years. Others we'd wanted to work with and saw this as the chance.
